Meet the Team

For this edition of Meet the Team, I sat down with Patrice Beaujolin to give you a little flavor of the folks behind Zong. Patrice is a senior software engineer at Zong. He's also one heckuva nice guy.

Zong: Afternoon, Patrice. What have you been up to lately?

Patrice: I'm working on the low-level systems in our infrastructure. Our team is maintaining the SMS Gateway which is connected to mobile carriers worldwide to convey all our SMS traffic. We are connecting new carriers and new countries all the time.

Zong: In that case, thanks for keeping me connected. What turns you on about your job?

Patrice: I really like the wide range of telecom protocols and software technologies we get to deal with. The office being close to Leman lake and Alps is pretty cool, too.

Zong: Leman lake? The Alps? Ah, you must be in my Geneva office. Fantastique. Favorite movie?

Patrice: Among others "Forrest Gump". A brilliant mix of human feelings, played very well and perfectly directed. Can watch it every year.

Zong: I like ping pong and chocolate. What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

Patrice: Taking care of family, sharing good times and good music with friends.

Zong: Rock on. Anything else you care to tell us about yourself?

Patrice: Well, let's wait to get to now each other better.... ;-)

Zong: Fair enough, Patrice. Just keep plugging me in to new carriers all over the world and I'll be happy. Au revoir mon ami!
